On behalf of our Local Union, CUPE 2191, I would like to thank you for all your support last year. Our Union has continued working diligently on your behalf in many areas, such as health and safety, Workers Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) representation, equality, stewarding and grievances representation, as well as influencing CUPE Ontario and CUPE National policies. In addition, we have been meeting with CLT representatives with the goal of conducting a Joint Job Evaluation.

Women Breaking Barriers was a week- long workshop held in Huntsville, Ontario. The workshop topics included economics, politics, and social change, all from a women’s perspective. The workshop also included training in public speaking and in how to argue a point of view, along with practices for combating sexism.
